People with Purpose

People with Purpose: Lisa

This post comes from a good friend, Lisa. Lisa was my lunch buddie, office pal and dear friend, when we sat two feet away from each other in San Francisco. She has taught me how to challenge myself, continue to learn and think about deep things. Check out what she has to say about life.

What matters the most to you in life, and why?
What matters most to me is living in the moment and cultivating meaningful relationships. Living in the moment helps me grow as a person and appreciate all that life has to offer. Cultivating meaningful relationships allows me to feel connected to others, while being a part of something bigger than myself.
Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would begin with yoga practice and meditation, followed by an energizing breakfast with my partner and fur baby. The perfect day would continue out in nature, trying something new and exciting, indulging in art, hanging out with friends or just relaxing and reading a captivating book. Ultimately, I’m seeking a low stress day where I can relish in all the things that makes my heart sing.
How do you think about continual learning?
I am an advocate of continual education and personally drawn to teachers who never stop learning. There’s so much information to absorb and process out in the world. If a person is passionate about something, they naturally want to keep learning. Currently, I am pursuing my RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 200 hour training, because yoga is my refuge from day-to-day stress.
