New York, New York.”

I’ve been skipping around New York City with Frank Sinatra ringing through my ears. I feel like I’m living in a movie. I sit on a bench by Central Park, I fill my lungs with the hot summer air, and I think about how many of the world’s greatest authors, artists, thinkers, and leaders have lived in this unique place. I smile, dreaming that one day I will be able to leave my mark on the world like others before me have. Or maybe not, and I’m happy all the same, knowing I’ll die as a nobody.

This is a special place – filled with people from all over the world, different languages, foods, cultures, and feelings. Living just steps from Columbia University, I can’t help but feel the power and history of those who have studied and have changed the world we live in, while resting their heads here in NYC.

I’m inspired and excited what these years in NYC will bring.
