Good Day for a Run

Do you wake up in the morning excited about something?

If so, what is it?

For me, I get excited to get out of bed to go on a run. It clears my mind at the start of the day and calms me to do everything else I want to do.

Then, I start.

I read. I write. I text. I call. I get things I want to do done.

I smile. I listen. I talk. I laugh. I put my head down. I don’t complain.

I can’t help but feel that life is speeding up, and there is so much I want to do. So many desires and so little time.

Little steps. Starting with a run. It starts to feel manageable.

Prioritize. Know who’s important. Who’s not important.

What’s important. What’s not important.

Keep your loved ones close. They make life into something bigger than just you.

I’m heading to Jordan for 2 weeks next week, so I will write again upon my return. There may be an interesting “How to Dress as a Jordanian Woman” post coming up…

Cheers to you, my friends and family!

      1. So happy you have found a good way to start your day and that it is something that calms you and keeps you focused. A lot of people also do a devotional and/or meditate in the am. I find I am not awake enough to do that right out of the blocks- but getting outdoors and after running a few steps seems to work! Lately I have resorted to having my morning coffee first and then hitting the pavement. Not sure if that is better or not for me but it seems to be what I need at this point in my life. Have a great trip! Looking forward to the Jordanian clothing report. Are you bringing headscarf?
